A lifelong process, but it starts now, and it starts within. On my journey I searched externally over and over, and each external experience led me back to myself. Each place, experience or person I was led to was actually a lesson to help me to discover something within my internal reality to integrate. To continually push me to peel back the layers, to find truth amongst all the lies I had been conditioned to believe were real, but were actually illusion. Whether that be a memory, an experience, a sensation. Whatever came up, any emotion was accepted, to take me into the depths of who I am. It took me a long time to recognise the outer world being a reflection of that within. The deeper I surrendered and allowed myself to dive within, the more I was able to rise into ecstatic bliss. It is through confronting our pain, sitting with it, we can allow the coin to turn and experience its reflection. Our damaged selves hold the map to lead us back to our perfection. They are a bridge, a gateway, a guide. These portals are usually disguised in a way we would least expect, or hesitate to explore, it serves us to enter them. We may hesitate at the threshold, our mind taking us to the thoughts, the fear, the expectations that cause the most internal conflict, rather than the actual stepping over the threshold itself. The illusion of separation. A part of us is already on the other side of the bridge, coaxing us across, guiding us to where we can be, who we are already. This is the part where we learn faith, hope and trust. If these qualities have been abused in life, then it is essential to re-gain and re-value, starting with the platform of self worth. By cultivating these you create a foundation on either side of the bridge of change. It is very difficult to cross if it can’t be trusted, and that trust starts with trusting yourself. Trust built within yourself begins with self reflection and enquiry. So start now, and start within!
